Better Security for Home Banking!

We are now offering better security for Home Banking. You will still have the same PIN you have now, but we've added security that will prevent phishing and other attempts to illegally get your account information.
For one thing, when you get to the sign on page, there will be a graphic with pictures of numbers. You type in the numbers, and go to the next step. This prevents automated attempts to guess your PIN -- a human being needs see the graphic to read the numbers.
After that, there is another test that will keep your information private - it will ask you a secret question, one that strangers or aquaintances won't know the answer to. It may be one of five questions - when you enroll, you pick the questions, you supply the answers. You can use questions that we've thought of, or you can make up your own. Examples might be your father's middle name, or the name of your first grade teacher. And the final step, when you put in your PIN, you will see a special message, called the security image, that you have chosen. Phishing sites won't have it - it's yours, and yours alone, and you'll know when you see it that everything is as it should be. |

This is now available as an option. You can still get in the old way, but we recommend that you start doing it the new way. Look for it on the Home banking sign up page. The sooner you start using it, the safer you will be! By January 15th, though, we'll require all Home Banking Access to go through the new channel. Safety is important -- to you, and to your credit union!
Note: Did you know that your Home Banking PIN can be up to nine (9) digits long? Under the MORE button, you can change your PIN anytime you want. We'll send you a letter confirming that you changed it.
